About us
Karver designs and manufactures blocks, furlers and custom parts. Performance evolution, output efficiency, weight reduction and ergonomics characterise our quality fittings. First adopted by the Open 60-foot class, KARVER products are now applied to all yachts, allowing racing and cruising sailors alike to benefit from the latest cutting edge technology.
KARVER uses the most recent generation of 3D modelling and numeric simulation software in order to create the best weight/stress ratio and reliability in their future products. Furthermore, fittings can be custom designed to go with the design of the boat.

Shortly after its creation in 2003, KARVER was chosen to outfit yachts of such prestigious boat races as: the Americas Cup (Alinghi, BMW Oracle), the Volvo Race, the Vendée Globe 2004 (in particular its winner, Vincent Riou), the 6.5M Mini-Transat race. KARVER has become a top supplier of blocks, furlers and custom parts in the 13 most important countries to the regatta market. Based in Honfleur and specialised in the design and production of furlers and blocks for competitive racing, KARVER recently received the famous Freeman K. Pittman Award (2006) from the editors of the American magazine SAIL for its innovative products.
