About us
Your trip can be summed up in one word: authentic. Two massive piers dominate the entrance of this port built to withstand all storms. To the west, under the cliffs, stand the remains of Arromanche’s artificial harbour. The air here is packed with history, salt and sweat for if, at first sight, Port en Bessin seems like a quaint little village tucked away in the surrounding hills, it is actually an authentic marine fortress. Looking out to the open sea, every street corner of this town of 2100 inhabitants exudes fishing. Lose yourself in all the little alleyways, explore the docks or take a trip along the cliffs stopping at the Vauban Tower on your way. Alternatively you could breathe in the fresh scent of the morning’s catch, stretch your legs on one of the local golf courses or head for the nearby town of Bayeux
